LEARNING FROM STAMPS

Once upon a time i.e not very long back we used to eagerly look forward to the postman delivering letters from our near and dear ones. It would  have been a great feeling if we had letters from some foreign countries , the greatest benefit of this would have been the opportunity to get some rare postal stamps.  Some pictures in the stamp are so interesting that we take  a look at it  for many days we see something interesting every time we see.
   Imagine a philatelist ( a person who has stamp collection as hobby ) lends you his album and there are some kids from your neighbourhood who are not as educated as you are and you are suppose  to tell them something about the stamps.

1. Look at the below set of pictures and find out why these countries are glorifying this person?What is so unique about the achievement of this pilot?What was the name of his aircraft? When did he accomplish this unique feat?
